Providing the highest quality of design and experiences since 1985.

Experienced Senior Designer with a strong track record of making complex systems and ideas simple. With 10 years of user experience and interface design under my belt, I have successfully solved problems ranging in features from displaying energy consumption across vast campuses to managing millions of technical documents which allow complex factories to be maintained and run efficiently.

I have honed my skills in problem solving with years of learning, watching, trying, failing, listening and then learning some more.

ACCRUENT Senior UX Designer                                                                                     

October 2018 – Currently / Hoofddorp office, Austin,TX HQ

 

· Led a global team of designers, product owners, and stakeholders to create transformative experiences for customers across multiple products and industries.

 

· Served as the Lead Designer for AOEM, Meridian, VX Suite, and Data Insights, delivering outstanding designs that increased usability and wowed users around the world.

 

· Hosted innovation sessions, brainstorming new ideas and generating groundbreaking concepts to push the boundaries of what's possible.

 

· Created and hosted a company-wide monthly Design Review, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity and inspiring colleagues to think outside the box.

 

· Developed a Voice of Customer initiative, including templates and processes for gathering customer information and distilling it into useful data packages that drove strategic design decisions.

 

· Utilised iterative design principles and roadmap planning to make strategic design decisions that drove business results and created a consistent user experience across products.

 

· Documented and trained others on newly designed processes, ensuring that the design standards were met, and consistency was maintained throughout the organisation.

November 2014 – September 2018 / Accounting and business strategy firm based in New Zealand

 

· Spearheaded the design of a cutting-edge client management system. Conducted UX research and testing to identify and optimize workflows.

 

· Successfully increased the conversion ratio of client information and tasks requested to information received. Developed scripts for printing, filing, saving, and automating processes.

 

· Designed and implemented an automatic emailing system for client checklists. Streamlined the process by sending PDFs from stored information to improve efficiency and communication.

 

WETA DIGITAL Layout Assistant Technical Director                                          

April 2012 – November 2014 / Visual Effects company based in Wellington, New Zealand

 

· The layout of shots for FX character interactions. 3D previsualisation modelling. Model Texturing. Digital environment creation. Digital set dressing.

· Managing the entire costume assignment system, in contact with other departments and keeping up to date with latest animation publishes, WIPs, director notes and model and costume changes.

· Digital costume continuity and tracking.

· Designed and developed an AR environment showcasing the Principality of Monaco for tourism and property development demos at prestigious events like MIPIM and LPS Shanghai.
